your internal environment is where the alchemy happens

food becomes chemistry, chemistry becomes energy, and energy becomes health

what is internal environment?

all the food you eat, the liquids you drink, what you cook food in, what you store food in... it all gets absorbed into the body and shapes your internal chemistry

the make up of that chemistry then determines how well (or not well) your body functions

›autoimmune disease has a pathogen problem

about this page

in truth: this page is the hardest one to write. a lot of nutrition information contradicts itself depending on who funded the study…

here's the problem with nutrition advice in 2026: i can build you a fully cited, peer-reviewed, scientifically credible argument for almost any diet that exists. carnivore. vegan. keto. mediterranean. each one has legitimate research behind it… each one also has a financial interest behind that research…

and the american food system is a mess with nutrient-depleted soil, heavy pesticide spraying, limited quality regulation, limited label claim regulations… which makes it nearly impossible to trust even the 'whole food organic' options at face value

layer on top of that the fact that every human being has a completely unique biochemistry, microbiome, and nutritional baseline… the idea that one diet works for everyone is not just wrong, but absurd.

so here's what i've done instead… this section contains the things i know to be true regardless of who's funding what. and for the topics that aren't black and white (and there are many) i'm going to show you both sides of the topic and let you decide for yourself. your body is yours, and the most empowering thing i can do is give you the information to make your own informed decision rather than just hand you another set of rules to follow and feel guilty about breaking.

granted, i still have some rules…

the rules:

»read every single ingredient label→ look for 5 or less ingredients that you can pronounce. less is more.

»stop eating added sugar→ there are over 55 different names for sugar on labels and food companies rotate them deliberately to confuse us

»stop cooking with seed oils→ seed oils are industrially extracted from GMO commodity crops (soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, cottonseed), using petroleum-derived solvents, heated to temperatures that oxidize their unstable polyunsaturated fat molecules which releases cell-damaging free radicals, then it is deodorized to mask the smell of rancidity, bottled, and sold to you as heart healthy

»eat organic and wash your produce→ organic has less pesticides and no GMOs, but it still can’t be fully trusted. pesticide residue and pathogens doesn't rinse off with water alone. use a baking soda + water soak for 15 min.

»avoid food that is banned in other countries→ if the EU, UK, Japan, and Canada all looked at an ingredient and said no thank you, maybe don't eat it every day just because the FDA hasn't caught up yet.

»avoid natural flavors and artificial dyes→ the "fragrance/parfum" of the food world. a proprietary cocktail of undisclosed chemicals hiding under one word on the label.
